Entrepreneurship Cell ( E-Cell)

Entrepreneurship is the process of starting a business, typically a startup company offering an innovative product, process or service. An entrepreneur perceives an opportunity and often exhibits biases in taking the decision to exploit the opportunity.

Having round the year events such as STARTUP WEEKEND powered by GOOGLE for Entrepreneurs, E-Cell aims at an all round development of all its members such that they are fully prepared for all their future endeavours. It also supports and incubates many startups in future.

 

The cell provides a platform to students who want to setup their own business and opportunities to budding entrepreneurs to connect to successful businessmen and see their ideas turn into reality.

It encourages the students to develop entrepreneurial skills. The management events shall include conversion of research projects to commercial products, public speaking, crisis handling, mock sensex, ad-making, virtual company creation,providing economic solutions to technical and social problems conference and panel discussions, industry-student interface via projects and internships.

 

Every year, Entrepreneurship Cell organises  the Annual Entrepreneurship Summit. It is a confluence of activities, events, competitions, conferences and workshops conducted to inculcate a startup-minded outlook among technical students. It aims at fostering the importance of leadership and decision making, encouraging entrepreneurship and introducing young technocrats to various management concepts practiced in the corporate world and to provide a platform for development of managerial acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and to bring ideas into reality.

Entrepreneurship can be exciting and rewarding, but it also involves risks and hard work. We, the team of E-Cell, aim to prepare our students to win against all odds.

The following are the major activities under the purview of E-Cell :

• Promote and foster the spirit of entrepreneurship.

• Create support systems necessary for business thought process.

• Facilitate networking with professional resources, which include mentors, experts, consultants and advisors.

• Identify ideas and innovations which have potential for commercial ventures.

• Carry out activities that facilitate knowledge creation, innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

• Inculcate enterprising values in youth and encourage individuals to be socially responsible.
