Eligibility: For Lateral Entry

Students who have completed 3 years diploma in agricultural engineering from any recognized university can join into the second year course directly either through ECET or can join directly in management quota.

  • Students also use the College Farm to study applications of precision agriculture technologies (an advanced agricultural management system that uses specialized electronic equipment, Drip irrigation & Sprinklers and also updated agricultural implements

  • Internships: College provides a solid internship opportunities, you can develop real world experience and make valuable contacts needed after graduation and gain a better understanding of a specific career field.These experiences not only give you an in-depth Agriculture education, but they also enhance your resume and prepare you for an exciting career in agriculture.

The need for agricultural engineers is increasing day by day because the agriculture is intensified and modified. The agricultural engineers have to play a significant role in increasing the production and productivity. The tremendous role of agricultural engineers in effectively utilizing the precious agricultural inputs as seed, fertilizer, irrigation water, farm implements and machines as well as plant protection equipment's can not be denied at this stage. The research carried out by agricultural engineers has significantly benefited the agriculture.

 The rate of increase in number of Agricultural Engineering graduates produced was low during the period till 1966. There after the number increased at a faster rate as more number of institutions started the agricultural engineering programmes. At present, the country could meet 25 per cent of the demand. As far as the employment of agricultural engineers in our country is concerned, the agricultural engineers are playing the important roles in various spheres as listed
